Dear Parent/Carer,

As your son will be approaching the end of a Key Stage in the next academic year or participating in public examinations, I thought it would be beneficial for yourselves and the students to have advance notice of exam dates and times.  This will enable you to ensure your son is present in school for the preparation period as well as the exam period in order to maximise his chances of success.

May I also take the opportunity to remind you that holidays taken during term time can seriously hinder your son’s progress, and possibly affect the final grade he will achieve due to accumulated lost learning time.

Please look carefully at the dates provided below and mark them on your family calendar at home for future reference.

* Please note the focused preparation period for all groups will begin in the Spring term, i.e. from   January, 2009.

** Please be advised that the school will not authorise absences for any type of holiday during the examination periods.
