You must be neat and tidy. The official school uniform should be worn at all times, including during examinations.

It is advisable to bring a bag to school. Jewellery, make-up and nail varnish are not permitted in school. Coats and other outdoor clothing should not be worn in class. Graffiti on uniform is strictly forbidden.

 
   
 
Girl's Uniform
  • Black blazer with Southmoor badge and year group identity braid
  • Plain, logo free, white blouse with collar – tucked into skirt/trousers
  • Plain, dark grey or black skirt, pleated or flared (straight, tight skirts are not allowed)
  • Smart plain black trousers (corduroy, flared, denim or canvas fashion trousers are not allowed) may be worn as an alternative to a skirt
  • School tie to be worn at all times
  • Official Southmoor sweatshirt only
  • Plain grey, black or fawn tights or black, grey or white ankle socks
  • Black shoes only (no trainers or boots)
  • Decorative hair accessories are not allowed. Hijabs if worn need to blend in with school uniform

  • Visible piercings are not allowed
  • Extreme hair colouring and styles are not permitted
  • Only school authorised badges and wristbands maybe worn
  • Jewellery and excessive make up are not permitted
  • It is advisable to bring a suitable bag to school.

Casual, hooded and outdoor tops must not be worn under blazers

  • Only the official Southmoor sweatshirt should be worn underneath blazers.
  • Tracksuit tops must not be worn underneath blazers.
  • Graffiti on blazers is strictly forbidden.

Form tutors should check uniform and where problems occur the Director of Learning should be informed.

Class teachers must also question pupils about uniform and insist the proper uniform is worn in lessons.

 
   
Girl's P.E. Kit
 
  • Yellow Aertex type polo shirt.
  • White Aertex type polo shirt. (Optional for years 10 and 11 only)
  • Grey, pleated wrap-over games skirt.
  • Plain navy/black shorts or briefs which are not visible below the length of the games skirt.
  • White sports socks.
  • White training shoes/sand-shoes.
  • Plain black leotard. (Optional for gymnastics/dance)
  • Plain black one-piece swimming costume.
  • Swimming cap.
  • Towel for showers (compulsory in years 7,8 and 9) and swimming.
  • Plain grey or black tracksuit bottoms are allowed in bad weather at the discretion of the teacher.(Optional)

  • Reversible games shirt in Southmoor colours.
  • Plain black shorts.
  • Football socks in either Southmoor colours or plain red/yellow.
  • Football boots and shin pads.
  • Training shoes or sandshoes.
  • Plain grey or black track suit bottoms are allowed in bad weather at the discretion of the teacher. (Optional)
  • Plain white T-shirt.
  • Plain white shorts.
  • White sports socks.
  • White training shoes/sand-shoes.
  • Plain black swimming trunks. Towel for showers
  • (compulsory in years 7,8 and 9) and swimming.

Cycling shorts are not part of the boys or girls PE kit
