Southmoor Learning Principles

  1. Pupils should know ‘the point’ of their learning.
  2. All pupils should experience praise.
  3. Pupils should give and get respect.
  4. Pupils should have some choice over their learning.
  5. Pupils should have the opportunity to try something new when staff take risks.
  6. Pupils should be able to learn from each other.
  7. Pupils should be able to learn by doing.
  8. Pupils should be given time to think for themselves.
  9. Pupils should be listened to.
  10. Pupils should learn in stimulating surroundings.
