- Pupils should know ‘the point’ of their learning.
- All pupils should experience praise.
- Pupils should give and get respect.
- Pupils should have some choice over their learning.
- Pupils should have the opportunity to try something new when staff take risks.
- Pupils should be able to learn from each other.
- Pupils should be able to learn by doing.
- Pupils should be given time to think for themselves.
- Pupils should be listened to.
- Pupils should learn in stimulating surroundings.
