  The main induction course this year will take place at St Aidan's School and Derwent Hill Outdoor Activity Centre Friday October 6th to Sunday October 8th 2006.

You need to arrive at St Aidan's School in Willow Bank Road at 9.00am on Friday October 6th.

You must bring with you the following things:
your original police clearance certificate (assistants from Spain, France, Germany and Austria only)
your original medical certificate (French assistants only)
your passport
your birth certificate

You will be leaving for Derwent Hill Outdoor Activity Centre in the afternoon.
Make sure you bring with you:
a warm coat and sensible shoes
enough clothing for the weekend
a towel
a small amount of money to pay for drinks, snacks and souvenirs
any medication that you need

The staff at Derwent Hill will provide any equipment that you may need for the outdoor activities.

You will be returning to Sunderland on the afternoon of Sunday October 8th.

   
       
    There will be an additional course for all assistants working in Primary schools.  
   

You will need to be at St Aidans School at 9.30 on Monday October 9th.

    The Goethe Institut arranges courses for German assistants. These take place on 10th or 19th October. See the Goethe Institut website for more information.  
         
    The Consejería de Educación in Manchester holds a course for Spanish assistants from the North of England. It takes place on Thursday October 19th at the Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Education. You can find information on the British Council website or email the Consejería.
