Global School Partnerships
are links between schools in the UK and schools in one of the countries
in Asia, Africa, Latin America or the Caribbean. The initiative is funded
by the Department for International Development and managed by the British
Council. The
Global Gateway has full information – click on “make a link”
to find prospective partner schools. There is a grant of about £1000
available to enable one teacher to visit the partner in order to plan the
curriculum project, and a further sum of £750 is available for planning,
materials and supply costs for planning. These links are co-ordinated locally by Pauline Zarraga. Phone or fax 264 1892 for more information.
