- Excellence through Partnership

COMMUNITY DAYS are a new idea here at Farringdon. We are going to have three throughout the year, our first was based around the idea of healthy living and we found out that that means a lot more than just what you eat.
With my own Year 8 form, I enjoyed watching them tackle the Army Assault Course and the Year 8 activities in the sports hall. A fabulous session and court room re-enactment from the fire brigade but with a very important message. I also loved seeing the cheerleading with the girls over in the pavilion—I don’t think any of us realised just how much there is to it. There was also some muscle building with the boys in the weights room.
Our reporter, Stephanie Smith also enjoyed the Army Assault Course; a SHOUT—Sexual Health Information Session; several activities in D Block Corridor linked to cookery as well as the sports hall activities with her year group. Her final session of the day was in fitness room where Stephanie very proudly beat Miss Ashplant!!
A lot of organisation had to go into the day and a lot of people from outside the school came in to help us out but we definitely think it was worth it and really look forward to the next one.
