Parents considering enrolment of students are always welcome to visit the school. In September we hold a public meeting at Farringdon Community Sports College. Invitations are sent to parents of Year 6 students in our feeder primary schools. Other parents can obtain details by telephoning the school. The Open Evening allows parents to view the school and meet staff and existing students informally.

Each year we run a wide-ranging and intensive induction programme for new students and their parents.

Formal details about school admission are in the booklet ‘Information for Parents’ available free from the City of Sunderland Education Department, P O Box 101, Civic Centre, Sunderland SR2 7DN. Copies are also available in school and in libraries. They are sent, via primary and junior schools, to all parents of Year 6 students.
