Farringdon Community Sports College entered 4 teams into the annual British Heart Foundation Golf Tournament at Castle Eden on 30th April 2007. This is the fourth year that Farringdon have entered teams into one of the premiere events that the charity holds.

The teams applied themselves well on a difficult day for scoring. The 4 Farringdon teams finished 3rd, 4th, 5th and 10th out of 17 teams from different schools and clubs in the area. The team finishing 3rd consisting of Ross Lough 11C, Ben Hall 11C and Andrew McGuire 11A will now represent the school at the regional qualifier held at Kirby Moorside Golf Club in North Yorkshire on 30th July 2007. If they can progress from there they will represent the school at the National Final held at the Belfry in September 2007.

The best individual score of all entrants on the day was returned by Graham Robson of 10C and top fundraiser for the day was Craig Wayman of 11L who raised a staggering £100 individually.

A total of £387-00 was raised in sponsorship for the British Heart Foundation by the Farringdon pupils.
