Farringdon Community Sports College went to the Kwick cricket festival at Ashbrooke Sunderland to compete in the tournament which involved other schools from Sunderland.
The teams taking part where Farringdon (3teams), Venrable Bede (1), Houghton Kepier (2teams), Oxclose school (2teams), Southmoor (1), Washington School (2teams), Biddick Sports College (2 teams) and an AllStars team made up of extra players from all the schools.
The players in each team from Farringdon were two year 8 teams and one year 7 team:

The morning session got underway with 3 games taking place on a damp and rainiy morning.
Farringdon A won all there 3 games with wins against Southmoor, Biddick A and Washington A.
Farringdon B started the same with 3 wins against Washington B, Houghton Kepier A and Oxclose B.
Farringdon C won 2 of there 3 games against Allstars and Washington A and a defeat against Oxclose A
The Afternoon session saw the semi finals take place with Farringdon A taking on Biddick A and Venrable Bede taking on Houghton Kepier A. Farringdon B team were unlucky not to qualify for the semi finals they only just mist out on runs scored.
Farringdon A won a tense semi final and play Venrable Bede in the final.
The other game saw Farringdon B play Farringdon C and a great win for the year 7 Farringdon C boys who played some good cricket in the match.
After these games Farringdon B played Southmoor and Farringdon C played Biddick B both picking up wins.

Farringdon A won a thrilling final over Venrable Bede and go on to represent Durham County in another tournament
Some great play from the following people included hat-tricks from Stephen Callen and Lewis Redmond. Overall a great day was had by Players and staff.
