Y8 Trip to Germany –2008

faces

Once again, pupils enjoyed our annual trip to Germany.

Excursions included:

Phantasialand
Situated in Bruhl near Cologne, it has been voted the best theme park in Germany several times. It has something for all the family and many of the rides are located indoors. The rides are set out in themed areas and there are also a lot of things to see and many shops and great places to eat.
Click to visit:

Drachenfeldsbahn at Konigswinter
Germany’s oldest mountain railway dating back to 1883 which takes you to the castle ruin above and offers a brilliant view of the Rhine valley and the villages below.

Boppard and Cochem
Two attractive towns beside the river with lots of souvenir shops. Boppard has a chairlift to take visitors high above the town for a superb view of the 4 lakes. The pedestrian town centres makes them an ideal venue for school groups and Boppard has mini-golf and a mini tourist train whilst Cochem has an outdoor wave pool with bowling and a restaurant.
