Los Angeles Media Trip 2006
Almost 40 students took flight during October half term, three of them wrote the following report:
Our American adventure began with the ‘flight sock scenario’ and Mrs O’Brien’s mission to stay awake—of course this mission failed leading to Mr Wright and ‘the toothpaste’.
The first day in the U.S. began with a trip to the famous walk of fame and the Chinese Theatre—a chance to mix with the stars. After this, a spot of shopping in Melrose and the Beverly Hills Centre, followed by a night at the Pins Bowling Alley.
On Monday night we again had the chance to mix with the stars at the Sony Centre where we saw Adam Sandler and Kate Bekensdale on set. More shopping followed as did time on the beach.
Universal Studios was the next adventure; from thrilling rides to Chinese remedies at City Walk. The ‘karaoke’ was also part of this day—some fantastic girls singing and er, Mrs ‘Brien’s and Mr Wright’s dancing—enough said!
Our final day took us to The Getty Museum with the best view of C.A. and ‘chillin’’ in the café followed by of course … more shopping.
The final mission was to catch the plane home and after running from one end of the airport to the other, surprisingly … our mission was accomplished.
