A school that offers a range of services and activities for students, parents and the wider Community. Farringdon Community Sports College is the Full Service Extended School for the Local Authority and offers the Full Core Offer. This includes Access to Community Facilities, Varied Menu of Activities (Study Support), Support for Parents and a Safe Place to Be (Chill House) for young people aged 11-14.

Community Facilities The school facilities are available for hire and throughout the week approximately 500 young people attend with partner clubs and groups. The most popular facility is the Sports Hall. Other areas are available for hire. If you would like any further information please contact Maureen Wilkins on 5536013 Ext. 165 |
Work with Parents Farringdon is committed to working with and supporting parents. Over the past two years Year 6 parents have been offered a series of sessions to support the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 including a Pamper Day, First Aid sessions and Music taster session. Year 7 Parents have taken part in the Keeping up with the Kids course. Parents took part in sessions to find out how English and Maths are taught in Year 7. These sessions are held in the Jubilee Centre. SHARE Programme. All Pastoral Year Managers have been trained to deliver this programme with Year 7 Parents and their children. A 10 week programme including Local History, Maths and Digital Photography has been completed by parents and their children. |

Chill House The Chill House is a Safe Place to Be for young people age 11-14. The Chill House is open each lunchtime between 12.00-12.45pm and every afternoon between 2.45-6.00pm. This provision is FREE for all students. The Chill House was set up after consultation with young people, who decided what they would like to include in the room. Danielle Phillips is the worker in charge of the Chill House. |
Holiday Activities The school is open during every holiday for young people to take part in activities. The Chill House is open every day, Football Camps are offered by Futebal de Saleo. The Jubilee Centre offers Art and Craft workshops, Family sessions including Forensics and Story Telling. Sports Camps are available during the summer holidays and activities for Year 6 transition students are also offered. |

Community Fitness The School has a Sports Pavilion that has a Dance Studio, Computer Room, Cardiovascular Suite and Outside Multi Use Games Area. Single Initiative Funding was secured to employ a Community Receptionist for the Pavilion. Karen Clark is the Community Receptionist and can be contacted on 5536013 Ext. 168 The Cardiovascular Suite is open every night between 5.00-9.00pm and Saturday morning between 9.00-1.00pm. Monthly Membership is £10.00 per month for unlimited access and the tennis courts are available for hire at a cost of £2.00 per court per hour. |
Study Support The school has successfully achieved the Quality in Study Support Kitemark at Established Level. This is national recognition for the quality and range of Study Support Activities offered by the school. Activities for all young people take place before school, lunchtime and after school. Students are surveyed regularly to find out the type of activities they would like to take part in. |
